He also leads client engagements in the areas of succession planning and leadership development.
“Rich’s extensive experience in recruiting and succession planning at the board level, and his expertise in board composition and governance practices in particular, will be an invaluable tool as we continue to strengthen our board practice across major industries,” said Jay Millen, managing partner of Caldwell’s Board & CEO Practice.
“Rich has an incredible track record for placing CEOs across several major industries, including financial services,” said Paul Heller, managing partner of Caldwell’s Financial Services Practice. “The aggregate market capitalization of the public companies for which Rich has placed CEOs has increased 165% during the tenure of his placements, from $18.7 billion to $49.8 billion.”
Mr. Perkey joins Caldwell Partners from Russell Reynolds Associates, where he was a member of the CEO & Board Services and Consumer & Commercial Financial Services practices. Previously he was area manager for the Atlanta office, and practice leader for Consumer Financial Services. Prior to entering the executive search industry in 1991, he was with First Union Corporation in the General Banking Group.
“We continue to make targeted and strategic additions to our team of high-level, experienced partners who will expand and strengthen the services we provide to our clients,” said John Wallace, chief executive officer. “Rich is a fantastic addition to our team, wholly in keeping with our strategy.”
Mr. Perkey holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Davidson College. He has served as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation, the Board of Visitors of Davidson College, and the Board of Directors of the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce.
