Vaco, a premier talent & solutions firm serving 40 markets around the globe, announced today their expansion into three new U.S. markets: Denver, Pittsburgh and Winston-Salem/Greensboro.

Vaco provides boutique level service with global reach in the areas of executive search, consulting, permanent placement, and strategic staffing. Areas of expertise include accounting, finance, technology, healthcare IT, operations, administration and managed services. Vaco’s global reach has been steadily expanding, entering into six new markets during the past 18 months.

In their role as Executive Partners, Renee Fisher and Kevin Witt help chart the strategic course in Vaco’s many local markets, working closely with managing partners as they plant the Vaco flag and grow local business. “Vaco is thrilled to extend our national footprint and bring our consultative approach to talent & solutions to Denver, Pittsburgh and Winston-Salem/Greensboro,” said Fisher. Day-to-day operations for Vaco’s Denver practice are led by Managing Director Beatriz Sonnendecker, who is in charge of empowering Denver area business leaders by providing high quality Finance and Accounting professionals on a consulting and direct hire basis. Sonnendecker has been with Vaco for eight years and brings more than 15 years of experience in accounting, finance, compliance, risk, and technology, including 10 years in public accounting. Prior to joining Vaco, Sonnendecker received her MBA from top-ranked UCLA and served as a controller for a publicly traded company. Vaco’s Denver firm is being managed by Vaco Senior Partner Frances Moreno, who has twenty years industry experience and a former Big 4 CPA specializing in resource needs in tax, accounting, audit, and financial systems. Moreno co-launched Vaco’s Los Angeles firm and presently remains Managing Partner.

Vaco’s Pittsburgh practice is being led by Managing Partner Phil McGivney, who is focused on growing the Vaco brand throughout the market and driving value for clients and candidates. McGivney brings 22 years of management consulting experience, with a focus on overall strategy, corporate governance and investment decision modeling. He previously held roles at KPMG, PwC and led an SAP Center of Excellence for a large chemical company.

Vaco’s Winston-Salem/Greensboro location is being led by Managing Partner Jeff Reynolds, where he and his team will bring the firm’s suite of services to the greater Piedmont Triad area of North Carolina. Reynolds has 25+ years of accounting, finance and operations experience, with focus in both the public and private industry. Most recently, Reynolds served as a Director in PwC’s Risk Assurance Internal Audit Services practice in the Carolinas. Reynolds will lead the team in offering a broad range of services as well as helping clients find the best talent and solutions.
