Bailey Montagu Executive Search continues to expand its offerings to even greater and more diverse Practice areas. Since the launch of the Executive Interim Practice in January 2018, we have enjoyed sustained business growth, reaching out into new Practices, led by highly qualified and esteemed individuals in their fields.

We are delighted to be joined by Rupert Channing, who will lead Bailey Montagu’s Financial Services Search practice. Our Financial Services Search Practice is focused on identifying, attracting and appointing the highest-calibre of executives.

Rupert has worked in Executive Search for more than 25 years focusing on Investment Banking and has executed searches on behalf of clients throughout Europe, the Middle East and Asia and brings an unrivalled experience to Bailey Montagu.

Prior to joining Bailey Montagu, Rupert established the specialist Financial Services search firm Wellesley Partners both in London and Hong Kong. Rupert was also a Senior Partner at Heidrick and Struggles in London, responsible for leading the firm’s Executive Search business for Financial Services in EMEA, as well as co-heading the company’s Global Investment Banking practice.

Before entering the Executive Search business, Rupert worked in Investment Banking in London for Saudi International Bank.

In addition, Lee Cooper is to lead Bailey Montagu’s Consumer and Retail practice.

Lee has developed an extensive network in the Consumer and Retail market over 25 years, working with many of the world’s leading brands. He specialises in appointing leaders across all Professional Functions, including CXO, Board, Non – Executive, Finance, Technology, HR, Procurement and Supply Chain and Sales and Marketing.

Lee brings with him extensive experience, with over 25 years within executive search practices, he became Partner in an Accounting and Finance Recruitment Practice, building the business three-fold before exiting following the successful sale to the world’s largest professional staffing firm.

More recently, Lee spent three years working for one of the UK’s fastest growing mid-market recruitment businesses where he was responsible for establishing an Executive Search Practice and personally delivering retained searches across CFO and Senior Finance hires to global businesses from FTSE 100 through Private Equity, AIM and Private Ownership.

As well as bringing figures in the world of executive search to head up our new Practice areas, Bailey Montagu has hired a new researcher to support the rapidly expanding practice heads.

Thomas Grant has a particular focus within the energy, manufacturing and technology industries. He has an industrial background primarily within the oil and gas sector.

Thomas has a first-class master’s degree in chemical engineering from Heriot Watt University.
