To meet the increasing demand for senior executives from globally operating clients in this sector, IRC Global Executive Search Partners has leveraged the deep expertise of IRC partners and extended the Agribusiness & Agriscience global practice team.

The new Agribusiness & Agriscience team was announced last month at the annual IRC Global Conference in Lima, Peru. Patrick Westerburger (IRC Netherlands) is IRC’s new Global Practice Leader replacing Warren Carter (IRC USA - The QualiFind Group), who is the Americas Practice Leader. Monicca Yan (IRC China and Singapore) has become the new Asia Pacific Practice Leader, and Marco M. Alemagna (IRC Italy) continues in his role as EMEA Practice Leader.

Patrick Westerburger, Global Practice Leader, is coordinating the exciting developments within the practice. “We use our global footprint to serve our clients better and faster. This is necessary because the agricultural sector is facing many challenges. In order to respond to the growing demand for healthy and affordable food, the industry is innovating continuously, using new scientific approaches and precision technology. Meanwhile, the sector is responding to consumer requirements related to product safety, environmental and animal welfare issues. The recent take over from Monsanto by Bayer shows that multinational companies tend to operate on a larger scale. With our Global Agribusiness and Agriscience team, we help companies find the talent needed to meet the new dynamics in the market. We expanded the team with 5 new leaders and members in the Asia Pacific, EMEA and the Americas and expect further growth in the near future”.

IRC’s new Asia Pacific Practice Leader Monicca Yan (IRC China and Singapore), who is based in Singapore, concludes: “I am honoured to be appointed the Asia Pacific Practice Leader for the Agribusiness and Agriscience sector. IRC Asia Pacific has developed a track record and knowledge in this sector over the last 6 years; assisting clients in the search for strong management personnel to lead their growth across the Asia Pacific. We are passionate about the vision and mission of our clients, as this industry helps to enhance the well-being of farmers and mankind.”
